Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
